Many people think that in order to be beautiful they need to have all the latest goops and goo that movie stars are selling, that will cost you an arm and a leg in order to purchase just a sample size. This is not the truth. There are plenty of things you can do to bring out your inner beauty without having to pay hundred of dollars, or having book to yourself an appointment for plastic surgery.
1. Brown Sugar Scrub
Good facial cleansers can cost up to $30+ . You can make your own exfoliating face wash by simply combining a cup of brown sugar, a quarter cup of baby oil, and a hint of fresh lemon juice. It smells beautiful, and it gets all the dead skin cells off of your face and it helps to create a healthy glow. An added bonus is that you can use this scrub on your entire body for healthy glowing skin. The results are noticeable enough that people will be asking you how much you spend on your beauty products.
2. Lemon Juice in Your Hair
If you want to add highlights to your hair, you do not have to go to the salon and pay a lot of money. All you need to do is purchase a bottle of lemon juice from your local grocery store and put it into a spray bottle. Simply pour the juice into the bottle and squirt it into wet hair and go outside in the sunshine. The heat and light will help naturally lighten your locks providing you with lovely summer highlights. If you are doing this in the winter, you can also use a blow dryer, but the results take longer to see using this method.
3. Strawberry Acne Scrub
If you struggle with acne, you do not have to buy expensive products to combat the dirt warriors invading your face. Mash together 1/4 cup fresh strawberries with 1/4 cup sour cream or yogurt, spread on clean skin, let sit for 15 minutes, and then rinse well. Strawberries contain salicylic acid , which is found in most acne fighting products. Not only is this scrub a cheaper alternative, it will smell lovely as well, without that “chemical” smell.
4. Potatoes for Puffiness?
There are a lot of beauty products that cost a fortune that boast about their abilities to help with dark circles and puffiness under the eyes. Slice raw potatoes and put them on your eyelids to reduce puffiness. Simple. No expensive creams required!
5. Baking Soda Toothpaste
You do not have to purchase expensive toothpaste, or even go to the dentist for a whitening procedure for brighter, whiter teeth. All you need is baking soda! Make a paste using baking soda and water and put it on your toothbrush and scrub away! You will see results within a week if you use twice a day.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and if you feel beautiful it will show in your stride. If you are low on money but still want to pamper yourself and feel good about yourself, these tips are simple and can be used on a daily basis in your beauty routine!
